…to quote the Barenaked Ladies. Good lord, where does the time go? Especially since I don’t feel like I have done much of anything at all these last few weeks. At least, not writing wise. Though seriously the last two days have been interesting.
I have been kicked in the patootie with inspiration. Just not the fiction type of inspiration. I’m not going to talk about it much right now because I don’t want the train to run out of steam too soon. Now this doesn’t mean I am not writing fiction though. I have been slowly getting all my ducks in a row for another project. The status of which is still being mulled over as I slog through a time-line.
The Writer’s Idea Book served its purpose and had been re-shelved for the next blockage. There were some really good advice, and the prompts were rather useful. So I have moved on to other things to read. Fairy Tales. Russian ones to be more precise. I haven’t read them since my early college years. I also have a book of Italian Fairy Tales that I plan on reading at some point. Sometimes I wonder why they call them Fairy Tales. Most of the stories are really morality stories.
There is a reason I am reading Fairy Tales though. This coming weekend I have a preliminary meeting set up with a friend to start brainstorming for an illustrated book for children. We’ve been going on about working together for a while now.
Well, that’s it for this post. I do actually have some researchy/writerly stuff to do today and there is a good chance for me to get things done because Blizzard preforms WoW server updates on Tuesdays and I can’t play. (Seriously I am so glad that I switched my subscription to gamecards…I would never get anything done.) After the 14th it’s not going to matter since I am not going to buy another card for a while, but it’s best to try and stop habits before they start.
